Walking Trails
Take a quiet walk along our trails; relax on a trailside bench or enjoy a picnic lunch in nature’s beauty. Select the button below to view a map of our current trails. In our Master Plan, we plan to develop trails that will cover the entire 38 acres.
Historical Exhibits
The park is full of rich history which highlights the important role the Huntertown Community played in not just Woodford County, but the whole Commonwealth.
Nature Preserve
Great care is taken to preserve and revitalize the native flora that grows all over the park. We have partnered with the University of Kentucky, local government, and dedicated volunteers to design a park that highlights the natural beauty of the region.
Park Rules
Park closes at dark
No motorized vehicles on grass or trails
No horseback riding
Dogs must be on leash at all times
No alcohol permitted on park grounds
No digging or use of metal detectors in this park - violators subject to prosecution (KRS. 512.40)

What time does park open and close?
The park opens at dawn and closes at dusk. See park rules above.
Are metal detectors allowed to be used in park?
Metal detectors are NOT allowed.
Are dogs allowed in the park?
YES, but must be on leash at all times and the owner is responsible for cleaning up after the dog. See park rules above.
Does the public have access to the Huntertown Cemetery?
The Huntertown Cemetery is not open for the public at this time.
